The Host (2013 film)

The Host is an upcoming film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel of the same name. Slated to be directed by Andrew Niccol,[1] the film will star Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, and Jake Abel. It is set to be released on April 4, 2013.
Plot
Parasitic aliens called "Souls" have invaded the Earth and have begun to possess the minds of humans. Melanie Stryder's body has been inhabited by a Soul named Wanderer, but refuses to fade away. Wanderer starts to see Melanie's memories, in which she sees her loved ones and eventually finds a connection with them, too. Melanie is trapped inside Wanderer's mind, speaking to her mentally, when both decide to set off and find their loved ones.

The Host (English) Based on the science fiction/romance novel by Stephenie Meyer (the "Twilight" franchise), Andrew Niccol ("In Time") directs this film with the up-and-coming cast of Saoirse Ronan ("Hanna"), Max Irons ("Red Riding Hood"), and Jake Abel ("I Am Number Four"). Alien beings from another planet called Souls, have invaded the earth and have begun to take over the bodies and minds of humans. Melanie Stryder's body has been inhabited by one of the "souls" named Wanderer, but when she refuses to fade away, the Soul known as Wanderer, is forced to cooperate with Melanie to find her companions, who are the last group of rebels left on Earth.
